This is an update to the network issues we have been previously experiencing over the last several weeks. Early Tuesday morning, November 15, 2011, we reconfigured three core systems to alleviate the network issues that we have been experiencing. All teachers and staff should be able to login faster than previous, open any file regardless of size, and get into any of the districts web resources. This includes grade book, euphoria, and skyward web. Parents and community members should not have any issues reaching the district web site or emailing staff. In short, all technology resources should be working as designed.
While this reconfiguration has been tremendous in helping to resolve these issues, the expected performance has not been achieved. While the network is working, it should be working even better, faster. The vendor’s engineers have a resolution to the expected performance of the network and the vendor will configure and install that solution as soon as it is made available to us.
