Have you ever looked at the art and design in can labels and packaging? There is more art there than you think. Graphic artists use art elements and creative design to get your attention and hopefully get your money when you buy the product. Look at labels on cans and product packaging. Look at the art and design in them. What label do you think really looks cool and why?? How have the designers used design principles and creativity??

The Computer Art Class just finished creating labels for their imaginary products. Some were pretty funny!! Here are a few of them. Let us hear what you think of them.

Are you Army Strong?? If you are, I think this is the perfect project for you!!! If you really want to do this all you need is

• a 7×7 square inch of denim with a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inch square inside for your image
• Permanent Markers
• Fabric Paint ( if you can get some )
• Pencil      

Then all you need to do is sketch out some images that shows your support for our soldiers!!!! The squares will be stitched together and made into a quilt for soldiers.                                            

AND THATS ALL YOU NEED TO MAKE AN AMERICAN MASTERPEICE!!!!!!!

7th Grade Art 1 Students have been doing projects that deal with the space. Space is an important element of art that is sometimes forgotten. These students tried to make the negative space (or background) stand out with their coloring and design. Which ones do you think were most successful and why?????

  

So many kids in the the Sixth Grade know that we have been doing Doodle Art lately. So, I ( along with my sidekick, Katerz ) are here to tell you about it. Ok, so we can do lots of little doodles, like hearts and flowers and other girly (or guyish) doodles on mettalic paper with a black sharpie. If you want to try this art fantastico project, just get some REALLY REALLY bright paper then a good black sharpie. But first, sketch out different doodles. Write us a comment about what doodles you would put on your doodle art sheet. Or, better yet, DO ONE ON YOUR OWN!!!! Ok. So we think we told you enough, so don’t forget to comment on our page!!!

Heyyyy!!! Kimberlee here again on Kimbo’s Blog!!! So you all know that the Swine Flu has caused lots of chaos. Many of our school activitys have been cancelled because of the doctors saying “NO GROUP ACTIVITIES!!!!!” You know that our UIL and our spring dance were both cancelled. Yeah, yeah. The soccer park and blizzards were okay, but I sure wished we could have gone to the real deal… UIL. Many kids think the whole Swine Flu is crazy but many kids are afraid of getting it so they start wearing masks so they are sure they won’t get it.
