Samurai Art
by B. Payne on May.24, 2010, under Computer Art, Student Art
Hi, this is Taylor, one of Mr. Payne’s computer art students taking over the blog while he’s out. The art above is done by Bruce and his art is based on the time of the samurai from the years of 794-1185 A.D. I like this kind of art because it looks really cool and I like dragons and samurai. I also like ninjas. I like one of the paintings because you can see the texture. The first sketch is how the artist gets started on his paintings. The last two pictures show you how the artist uses sketching to do a painting. Do you like what kind of art I picked for the blog? Here is a link to Bruce’s website:

Good choices Taylor! I especially like that you chose a sketch and a the finished product. It is interesting to see how it started. I really like the dragons and enjoyed the link to the artist’s web site. Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to see you at the reunion!

Hey Taylor,
It looks like you are learning a lot in your art class. That is neat. I really enjoed art class when I was in school. I actually won an award in schulpting once. I still have the schulpture I made too. Its really a good idea to learn about the different kinds of art, it helps you understand a lot of things better. Hope you have a great summer and that I see you in church like I have every summer when you visit your grandparents.

This is really neat, though it would not be my choice if I were talented in art. I prefer the last pic on the top…without the figures. Are you doing any drawing this summer?
