I am the Instructional Technologist for Glen Rose ISD. I was a classroom teacher for 27 years before moving to my current position with the district. I spent 18 years as the Glen Rose Elementary Computer Lab Manager and Campus Technology Specialist. I have my Masters of Education from Tarleton State University with certifications including: Master Technology Teacher, Gift and Talented, English as a Second Language, Early Childhood, Language and Learning Disabled, and Kindergarten. I like to view’s life like Tim McGraw, “Live Like You Were Dying.” Yes, I have gone sky diving, Rocky Mountain climbing, and I am looking for the bull named Fu Man. I have 2 grown daughters who both graduated from Texas A&M. They then proceeded to get married during the same summer. To my my life even fuller, I also have a wonderful 2nd grade daughter who keeps the whole family young. Last April my first granddaughter was born and she IS the sweetest, smartest, cutest baby ever. I have taught adult classes through Hill College, presented at many different conferences, and for the Region 11 service center. My goal as GRISD’s Instructional Technologist is to remember what it was like in the classroom and be able to keep technology instruction simple and as needed for the staff.
