Alaska
March 5th, 2009 by wadesuOur fourth grade is studying the state of Alaska. The students plan to follow the 2009 Iditarod that will begin on Monday. Did you know that Alaska is twice the size of Texas, that there are twenty-nine volcanoes in Alaska, that over half of the world’s glaciers are in Alaska, that Alaska is only fifty-five miles east of Russia, or that Alaska has the tallest mountain in North America?
Do you know anything about Alaska that you could share with our fourth grade students?
